Grupos chavistas irrumpieron este domingo en el hemiciclo del Parlamento e interrumpieron el debate sobre la suspensión del referendo revocatorio contra el presidente Nicolás Maduro. No está claro cómo los manifestantes pudieron irrumpir en el edificio, rigurosamente vigilado desde la mañana.





“Grupos violentos extraños a la Cámara… tienen que ser sacados, que abandonen el hemiciclo”, dijo el presidente desde la tribuna Henry Ramos Allup, presidente de la Asamblea Nacional, reseñó AFP.

Diputados oficialistas ayudaron a contener a los simpatizantes de Maduro, quienes, con banderas venezolanas y gritando consignas, lograron entrar por la fuerza a la parte baja del hemiciclo y a los jardines de la sede parlamentaria, en el casco histórico de Caracas.

De inmediato, Ramos Allup suspendió la sesión y llamó a reunión al jefe de la bancada oficialista, Héctor Rodríguez, para discutir sobre la situación irregular.

Desde antes de iniciar la sesión, grupos de chavistas mantenían rodeado el edificio parlamentario, crispando la sesión especial que convocó la oposición para evaluar acciones para “restituir el orden constitucional y democrático”, según la agenda.

Al inicio del debate, Ramos Allup señaló que la sesión podría incluso discutir la apertura de un “juicio político” contra Maduro, aunque hasta ahora no ha sido abordado en el debate, tras varias intervenciones.

Sin resoluciones por el momento, los diputados han mencionado lo que llaman un “abandono del cargo” por parte de Maduro, de gira por Medio Oriente, y el álgido tema de la supuesta doble nacionalidad, venezolana y colombiana, del presidente, que lo inhabilitaría para ejercer el cargo.

La suspensión del referendo aumentó aún más la tensión política en el país petrolero, que además enfrenta una profunda crisis económica, con severa escasez de alimentos y medicinas así como una inflación que el FMI calcula en 475% para 2016.

La opositora Mesa de la Unidad Democrática (MUD) convocó la sesión parlamentaria, después de que el poder electoral postergara hasta nuevo aviso la recolección de cuatro millones de firmas necesarias (20% del padrón de votantes), último paso antes de la consulta, reseñó AFP.
